In Mexico, Sundae Bests were a major hit! They were some of the most popular ponies sold in the 1980s. That's probably why they made two different versions of them.

The mystery of the two different sets of Sundae Bests is now solved!

Auriken released the regular colored set of ponies sold individually in stores. The other set (the one with different color combo) was released inside the Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe playset. It was sort of fun, since kids didn't know which pony they were gonna get.

There is no information about either one of Crunch Berry's variations, but I'm positive there are two versions of her as well, since some people have acknowledged her existance, and Mexican sets were formed by either 3, 4 or 6 ponies, not 5.

Peppermint Crunch Swirly Whirly Banana Surprise

There were two versions of Peppermint Crunch released in Mexico. Both with different color combos.

Peppermint Crunch I:

She is aqua green and her plastic is squishier than that of US Peppermint Crunch. She's lighter but her color is not as vivid as her US counterpart's color.

Her symbol is similar to the US symbol, but since the plastic is squishier, it is more prone to fading.

Her mane is really long and is a light purple color. Her hair color is darker than that of US Peppermint Crunch, and her hair texture is rougher too.

Her eyes are an odd shade of pink, darker than the US version of her eyes.

She has unmarked concave feet.

Peppermint Crunch II (SSSS pony):

This version of her is much rarer than the other one. This pony came as a "surprise" gift in the Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe playset.

She has a white body with a pink ice cream cone on her rump.

Her hair is super long, and it is a dark shade of purple. It tends to create spots on her body because of the dark color.

She has light lilac eyes and unmarked unmarked concave feet.
