Mexico is known for all the "pirate" products that are produced. Even in the 1980s, there were many pony fakies sold in Mexico. Some of them were regular molds made in China or Hong Kong, like the famous fakies in Crumpet's mold.

Some other fakies were uniquely produced in Mexico. When the first one of these was found, there was a huge debate on whether it was a fakie or a real MLP.

I can confirm ponies like these ones ARE fakies. They're pretty hard to find nonetheless.

Big Brother Fakie
Baby Fakie

Big Brother Fakie #1:

He is in Big Brother Barnacle's pose. He is orange and he's made out of really squishy soft plastic, different to MLP plastic. His mold is really similar to MLP molds, since it also has feathered or Clydesdale hooves, like Big Brother molds.

His hair is almost like real MLP hair and it's light lavender.

His symbol looks like a painted version of Princess Dawn's symbol.

His eyes are blue and they're painted with minor detail than MLP eyes. This is one of the characteristics that helps ID it as a fakie.

It has unmarked concave hooves.
